Workshop Braiding

HairVisit organises fun braiding workshops for groups. Separate workshops are often given for men and women. Mixed groups are also possible. The workshops can be held at a location of your choice or in HairVisit's own premises in Maastricht.

The finer points of braiding are taught in a relaxed atmosphere. After an explanation and demonstration, you can get to work yourself under the guidance of the HairVisit hairdresser. You will practise on a model you bring yourself with at least medium-length hair. This could be your daughter, niece or friend/wife, for example.

The price of a two-hour workshop is €175 (*). Part of this goes to CliniClowns!

The number of participants per workshop will depend on the assumed level of experience and is limited to a maximum of 10 people. In order to give everyone sufficient attention (in case of less experience), it may be decided to admit a maximum of 7-8 people per workshop.

(*) Excluding any travel expenses for locations outside a radius of 15 kilometres.

Hairdresser at the Childcare Centre

Have your child's hair cut by a professional hairdresser during childcare at the nursery or after-school care centre. This is possible and has the advantage that you do not have to take him or her to the hairdresser in the evenings or at weekends.

How does it work?

A list will be posted at the childcare centre so that you can sign up for a specific date (with your email address) and indicate the frequency (once every six or once every twelve weeks). The hairdresser will review the schedule based on this list and, if necessary, provide you with feedback. On the day of the haircut, your child will be cut by the hairdresser in a room adjacent to a regular childcare room. This allows the childcare workers to keep an eye on things at all times. Naturally, children who are not attending childcare on this day can also sign up and use this service under the supervision of a parent.

How does payment work?

On the day itself, you can put a note with your hairstyle request in an envelope, but you can also send it by email. You can pay after you have received the invoice. It is also important for you to know that I greatly appreciate feedback on the hairstyles I create for your child. This allows me to best meet your wishes for your child's hairstyle. So please do not hesitate to share any comments you may have. If possible, do so in person, by email or by note. I can well imagine that it may feel strange not to be there when your child is having their hair cut. However, it may be comforting to know that children usually find it easier to have their hair cut when their parents are not around. It is even possible to connect online via FaceTime during the haircut.

Can this also be arranged at our after-school care or nursery?

Yes, of course! Discuss this with the management of your nursery or after-school care centre. Explain that, in your opinion, this is a perfect addition to regular childcare. Refer them to this website.

Staff hairdresser (hairdresser at the workplace)

Employees (especially full-timers) often have to take regular leave for a hairdresser appointment. By offering this service at the workplace, employees can make better use of their valuable leave and are away from their workplace for no more than 20 to 30 minutes (every 5 to 8 weeks). Times during the lunch break may also be negotiable (e.g. between noon and 2 p.m.).

It works very simply:

You agree on a specific frequency with your staff (e.g. once every six weeks) and consult with the HairVisit hairdresser on which days they will come to cut hair in a space provided by the employer. The HairVisit hairdresser will bring all the necessary equipment. Upon arrival, the hairdresser will receive a list from the employer with the names and telephone numbers of employees who wish to have their hair cut that day (maximum 5 per 2-hour session), along with any preferred time at which the employee wishes to have their hair cut. If no preferred time is given, the hairdresser will determine the order. The hairdresser will call each employee from their workplace by telephone. Appointments can be made in half-day slots of 2 hours. Approximately 5 people can have their hair cut in 2 hours.

Checkout

There are two ways to do this:

As a secondary employment condition. In that case, the employer may receive an invoice for this service based on the number of people who have had their hair cut, including VAT (*). The costs can usually be booked as business expenses and are therefore tax-deductible.

Offer the option but not cover the costs for the employer? That is also possible. It works exactly the same way, except that after their haircut, the employee pays the HairVisit hairdresser in cash or via online banking (*).
